Just one day after Justin Bieber himself got pulled over in his Ferrari, two charges against the paparazzo who famously pursued him this summer in a high speed chase were dropped (November 14).

According to the L.A. City Attorney's Office, Paul Raef is accused of driving over 80 miles per hour to keep up with the 18-year-old pop star on the Hollywood 101 freeway, causing other motorists to swerve and/or apply their brakes.

The two charges were under California's 2010 law that targets photographers with increased penalties for reckless driving. Judge Thomas Rubinson called the law, "problematic" and "overly inclusive," noting that it could apply in broad situations including photographers on their way to pre-planned shoots or a wedding.

Raef faced six months in jail and a $3,500 fine, however he still has two other misdemeanor counts to fight, a traditional reckless driving charge and failing to obey the order of a peace officer.
