She was plagued by panic attacks while making Coronation Street, so it didn’t exactly seem like an obvious choice for Helen Flanagan to sign herself up to I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here.

Now it’s being claimed the producers of the show may let her sit out some of the more hard tasks to avoid aggravating her condition, and that’s angered one particular celebrity contestant from this year's programme.

The unnamed celeb has told a pal (who of course in turn told a tabloid):

“It wouldn’t be fair on everyone else as producers wouldn’t want to take any chances. You have to question how many tasks she could miss.”

The show’s makers have however denied that they’re giving the 22-year-old actress any special treatment saying:

“People need to give her a break.

"A number of celebs in the past – such as Gillian McKeith – have been allowed to be exempt.”

Earlier this week the Corrie star spoke about her long battle with depression saying that it was the “main reason” for her quitting Coronation Street, she added: “I don’t think I was very well.”

Let’s hope the stresses and strains of the jungle don’t prove too much for her.
